Congratulations to our latest Road Captains

“Congratulations to our 9 new Road Captains who have successfully completed our first Road Captain training course of 2011. They have all earned their coveted Road Captain patch via “in class training”, spending a good amount of time on the road with the “RC Trainers” undergoing numerous real life scenarios that they may encounter from time to time, and extensive group riding experience riding with their fellow RC’s. They are all keen as evidenced by some of the rides already posted so you should see an enhanced level of ride activity in 2011 as requested by many of our Members. Well done guys….thanks for taking the time to go through this process. Fun times ahead!
It is our intent to conduct another Road Captain training course in the third quarter of 2011….more info on that later on.
They will join the existing team of current Road Captains and shall work together as a team planning enjoyable and safe rides. With the upcoming CMC National Rally being held in Ottawa, we will definitely need the help from our entire RC Team with respect to leading rides for our out of town guests. Routes are currently being finalized and logistics will be sent to the RC Team in the future.
You may also see multiple rides posted on one day…reason? Some of our Members may not have a full day to ride, have family committments and perhaps can only spare a half day or less, so you may see both offered but they will be cross posted to give you a choice of rides that work best for you.”
